I founded the society in 2013, after studied Astronomy & Astrophysics to Masters Degree level. Fellowship member of the Royal Astronomical Society (UK)
At a personal level, in 2013 I was accepted as a fellowship member with the Royal Astronomical Society.
Astronomy has been a hobby/interest of mine for as long as I can remember. In early 2002, I purchased a larger telescope (the last one I owned was a 3" terrestrial refractor some 20 years ago) and from that day my stargazing is twice weekly. now I'm weather-watching and wishing for long, clear nights .
In 2003, I decide to a take a further step and study towards a Master Degree with James Cook University , Queensland, Australia, (website: http://www.jcu.edu.au/).
After a full three years studying I obtained a Master Degree in Astronomy, areas that I covered were both in astronomy and astrophysics, details below:
Modern Astrophysics - mathematical understanding of astronomy related physics,
Astronomy Instrumentation - reading, understanding and data analysis,
The Solar System - from it creation present and it future,
Galactic Astronomy and Cosmology - galaxies, and other cosmos’s bodies measurements, distance, and it composition,
Pilot Research Project Study Gliese 876 Star Solar System and,
Finally a Astronomy Literature Review of Gliese 876 of 50,000 words.
I also belong to a few astronomy forums like Cloudy Sky, Stargazes, Astronomy Shed and a few other more. In more recent times I am very involved with Astrophotography.
